1. Over-commercialed – to be more concerned with making money from something than about its quality.

2. Mixture – a combination of two or more different things, people, qualities.
• Her face showed a mixture of fear and excitement.
• Their latest CD is a mixture of new and old songs.


3. Collectively –
as a group, together
I believe global problems such as climate change can only be solved collectively not individually.
• I suppose their success is mainly because of a collective decision/effort

4. Financial incentives –
financial rewards
• it’s a good idea to give financial incentives to motivate employees
• When some employees do perform well, giving financial incentives would be great.


5. Take up the challenge
 – accept the challenge
• I decided to take up the challenge and see what would happen
• I knew it was going to be really hard doing a master’s degree while working full time, but I was ready to take up the challenge

7. To be in a dilemma – a situation in which a difficult choice has to be made between two different things.
I’m in a dilemma over whether to tell him or not

8. To think twice – to think carefully before you make a decision.
• I want you to think twice before coming to a firm decision.

9. To follow your heart – to rely on one’s deeper feelings and instincts when making a decision.
At times, I’m really indecisive then I just follow my heart.

10. From all angles from many different ways
• I tried to look at the problem from different angles, yet again I couldn’t figure it out.
