These days, many people believe that companies should be able to export their products to other countries without being controlled by the government. From my perspective, I absolutely agree with this notion and will discuss the reasons why in the following essay.
On the one hand, international free trade can bring about enormous advantages for many countries. Being able to buy and sell goods internationally may significantly boost economic growth. Free trade agreements allow domestic manufacturers to search for new markets as well as attract foreign investment, which provides local industries and domestic businesses with great benefits. In addition, thanks to unrestricted international commerce, local companies will also have better access to the latest technologies via foreign partnership. This helps developing countries to rapidly improve their technical proficiency which, in turn, helps to improve domestic manufacturing and associated industries.
On the other hand, on a local level, people benefit greatly from unrestricted international trade. When companies are able to buy and sell goods overseas without government limitation, the average cost of goods will be far lower without imposed government tariffs and taxes. Therefore, consumers will be able to purchase imported goods at cheaper prices, and have access to a wider range of products. Additionally, with a greater amount of goods being exported, free trade can give rise to international expansion for many companies, creating a greater demand for more workers. In other words, greater job opportunities will lead to better career paths and higher income for people.
In conclusion, due to the various beneficial impacts for both countries and citizens, the idea of unrestricted international trade appears to be highly advantageous.
