II. Samples

1. Have you travelled a lot by plane? [To where?/Why not?]

Answer 1:

Yes, I have traveled quite extensively by plane. I have visited several countries, including Japan, South Korea, and Thailand. Domestically, I’ve flown to cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City for both business and leisure purposes. Traveling by plane is highly convenient and saves a significant amount of time, especially for covering long distances efficiently.

Answer 2:

No, I haven’t traveled by plane before. Most of my travel has been by bus, train, or car. The destinations I usually visit are within driving distance, making flying unnecessary. Additionally, the cost of plane tickets can be quite high, which is another reason I haven’t opted to fly yet.

2. Why do you think some people enjoy travelling by plane?

Answer 1:

I think people enjoy traveling by plane for several reasons. Firstly, it is the fastest mode of transportation for long distances, allowing individuals to reach their destinations quickly. Secondly, the in-flight services, such as meals, entertainment, and comfortable seating, enhance the overall travel experience. Additionally, the unique experience of flying and seeing the world from above can be quite thrilling and memorable.

Answer 2:

I think people enjoy traveling by plane primarily because it is the quickest way to cover long distances, saving a considerable amount of time compared to other modes of transportation. Additionally, flying offers a unique perspective, providing breathtaking views from above that are impossible to see from the ground. The convenience of reaching distant destinations directly and efficiently is also a significant advantage.

3. Would you like to live near an airport? [Why/Why not?]

Answer 1:

Personally, I wouldn’t like to live near an airport. Although the convenience of being close to an airport is appealing, the noise pollution from frequent flights taking off and landing would be a significant drawback. Furthermore, the increased traffic and the hustle and bustle around the area could make it a less peaceful and more stressful place to live.

Answer 2:

I wouldn’t like to live near an airport. The noise from planes taking off and landing would be quite disruptive. Additionally, airports tend to attract a lot of traffic and crowds, making the area busier and less serene. I prefer a quieter and more relaxed living environment, which is less likely to be found near an airport.

4. In the future, do you think that you will travel by plane more often? [Why/Why not?]

Answer 1:

Yes, I believe I will travel by plane more frequently in the future. As my career progresses, there will likely be increased demand for business trips that necessitate air travel. Additionally, my passion for exploring new places and immersing myself in diverse cultures motivates me to travel to distant destinations, where flying is often the most efficient mode of transportation. Furthermore, advancements in aviation technology continue to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of air travel, making it a viable option for frequent journeys.

Answer 2:

Yes, I anticipate traveling by plane more often in the future. As I advance in my career, there may be more opportunities for business travel that require air transportation. Moreover, I am eager to expand my horizons and visit more international destinations, for which flying is typically the most convenient and time-saving option. Additionally, as air travel becomes more accessible and affordable, I foresee more frequent occasions where flying will be the preferred mode of travel.
