Today, I’m gonna talk about global warming.
To begin with, speaking of its definition, global warming is a phenomenon in which global temperatures rise excessively at a faster pace every year, causing an imbalance in the natural habitat. In recent years, new records for the hottest years in each country have been set, with the new temperatures far outweighing those of their predecessors.
To the best of my knowledge, the primary cause of this problem seems to lie in the increasingly large number of heat-trapping pollutants in the atmosphere, including carbon dioxide, methane, and you name it. Although there are a lot of campaigns trying to prevent pollution, the problem has not yet been tackled so it is still an urgent issue for individuals and governments.
It is obvious to us that such an environmental issue poses a bunch of detrimental influences on the world as a whole. A rise in average temperatures is said to be the trigger for such serious extreme weather conditions as heat waves, droughts on a larger scale, heavy rainfalls, or the more frequent tropical storms, causing an increase in the number of fatalities each year.
These are just the tips of the iceberg. In order to tackle these problems, some measures that are suggested would be to cut down on harmful emissions as well as further implement alternative energy systems. This is synonymous with governments and authorities taking prompt actions and concrete steps to adopt regulations and policies to meet the worldwide environmentally friendly standards in manufacturing.
I believe that not only individuals but also policy-makers should join hands to take action in order to address this problem.
