Sample Answer

The chart shows the number of enquiries that were made to the Tourist Information Office in a particular city from January to June of 2011. Enquiries were received in person, via telephone, or through email or written correspondence.

Overall, while telephone and in-person enquiries increased over the period, the number of emails and letters received by the office decreased.

In January, the Tourist Information Office received approximately 800 enquiries via telephone, while only half as many enquiries were made in person. The number of telephone enquiries slightly fluctuated until April, from where it started to increase substantially, reaching approximately 1100 enquiries in June. In-person enquiries became more common than telephone enquiries by March, and continued an upward trend, hitting around 1200 enquiries in June.

Meanwhile, the number of enquiries received by email and letter declined slightly from January to March, before decreasing more significantly over the following months. By June, the figure for email and letter enquiries had dropped to around 200.
